Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ApnaSalary.in and the tools, calculators, document generators and the paid Pro license offered on it (together, the "Service"), operated under the brand ApnaSalary. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using ApnaSalary, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or using the Service under the supervision of a parent or guardian) and that you accept these Terms along with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

ApnaSalary provides free, browser-based tools for Indian salaried employees and small businesses, including salary slip, rent receipt and GST invoice generators, an income tax calculator (new and old regime), an in-hand salary calculator and an HRA exemption calculator. The free tools require no account and run entirely in your browser.

We also offer a one-time paid "Pro" license that unlocks additional features such as bulk salary slip generation, adding your company logo, and removing the watermark. The Pro license is delivered as a license key and is described further in Section 4.

3. Estimates, not professional advice

The calculators and generators on ApnaSalary are provided for general information and convenience only. Results are estimates based on the figures you enter and on our understanding of applicable Indian tax and payroll rules, which can change. They are not professional tax, legal, accounting or financial advice and must not be relied upon as such. You are responsible for verifying any output before using it, and for consulting a qualified chartered accountant, tax practitioner or lawyer for advice specific to your situation. Documents you generate (salary slips, receipts, invoices) are your responsibility to review for accuracy and legal compliance.

4. The Pro license

The Pro license is a one-time purchase, currently priced at ₹299 (inclusive of applicable taxes), paid securely through Razorpay. It is a lifetime license for the current feature set, meaning there is no recurring subscription and no automatic renewal.

• On successful payment, a license key is delivered to you instantly on-screen and by email.
• The license is personal and non-transferable. It is tied to the license key issued to you and may not be resold, sublicensed, published or shared with others.
• You may use your license key across your own devices to activate Pro features for your own or your business's use.
• We may deactivate a license key that we reasonably believe has been shared publicly, obtained fraudulently or used in breach of these Terms.

Refunds for the Pro license are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to create false, fraudulent or misleading documents, or for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
• bypass, disable or tamper with the watermark, licensing checks or any other technical measures; or
• resell or commercially redistribute the Service or a Pro license key without our written permission.

You are solely responsible for the data you enter and the documents you produce.

6. Intellectual property

ApnaSalary, its name, logo, design, code and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Purchasing a Pro license grants you a limited right to use the Pro features; it does not transfer ownership of any part of the Service to you. The documents you generate using your own data belong to you.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations and generated documents will be free of inaccuracies.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApnaSalary and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any decision made or action taken in reliance on a calculation or generated document. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the Pro license in the twelve months preceding the claim (and, for users of the free tools, will be nil).

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
